Bohemian dress

septembre 3, 2017

The advantage to live close to the sea in a sunny area is that you can enjoy the beach life during the week-end without buying a plane ticket and go far away. I feel so grateful to have that chance because I can’t get enough to watch beautiful sunsets on the beach while drinking a cocktail and explore the life under the sea. My favorite summer outfit to go to the beach is the jumpsuit and the boho dress because they are so comfy and fast to put-on… and takeoff! I really love the blue color of this bohemian dress that matches so well this the sea at the background. Sometimes my friends ask, will you come back to Paris? Nope don’t worry for me, just want to jump again into the big blue and feel like a mermaid! Wild bisous, Melissa ♡

Vichy dress

août 12, 2017

Spotted! A dress that really inspires to have a picnic under the shadow of an olive tree and collect lemons in the countryside to prepare the perfect fresh mojito! The vichy dress was an emblematic outfit of Brigitte Bardot during the 60’s and it is more than ever a good classic for the summer holidays. I really love this vichy dress for all its little details like the knotted top and the big buttons on the skirt that make it so special. Since the dress is black and white; I feel it matches well with some colored shoes but if you are more classic some espadrilles would also be perfect! In addition if you wish to extend its summer vibes to the office, you can also wear it on a white tee-shirt to be more covered. And when you are fed up to wear your vichy dress you can always recycle the vichy fabric to make a picnic table cloth or decorate your house in the mountain ! Ahahah:D Bisous, Melissa ♡

Like in Florida

juillet 6, 2017

In Ibiza we chose to stay in playa d’en Bossa to be close to the city center. This area is overall famous because it is the place where people use to « sleep » (rather just take a shower and get changed!) to enjoy the crazy nightlife in Ibiza! It was quite surprising to take a walk in April in our empty neighborhood (April is the low season and the discos are all closed except Pacha) and watch the vintage architecture of this area with its squared and massive buildings overlooking the beach. One of the hotels in this area called the Tropical Suite was really reminding me Florida with its mint walls and the pink flamingo on the top of its entrance. There we shot this comfy outfit I wore to take the plane back to Alicante. I really love this grey denim shirt with its embroidery detail at its back, it adds a cool touch to this urban style. The cap and its flowers embroidery is also making a wink to this shirt mixed with a simple black legging and white top that I like to wear with a knot to look a bit more sexy;).

Slippers in the city

mai 14, 2017

Today’s shooting is taking place in the old Ibiza called Dalt Vila that looks like a maze of little streets where we really enjoyed getting lost. After walking up and down in this charming area we where desperately looking for a nice and authentic tapas restaurant and finally ended in… a pizzeria! Yep, mission not accomplished but you are ready to eat anything when you feel desperately hungry or rather when your boyfriend starts to loose patience because he is starving🙂 To feel comfy for that day I wore some slippers that are as cool as the ones from a famous luxury brand (starting with the letter G and finishing with the letter I) but they are obviously more affordable. I love so much these shoes that I decided to dress according to these shoes instead to choose the shoes according to the outfit! This look is very casual, just a destroyed mom jean and a slip top that I prefer to wear without bra to feel more comfortable. Bisous, Melissa ♡

Spring

avril 20, 2017

I love spring because it brings so much life and happiness, wild flowers are blooming everywhere, the birds sing and the landscapes become colorful! (I would like to precise I am not writing this when being drunk although I seem overenthusiastic) You know summer is coming soon and this is a bit like a Saturday feeling: you are enjoying your day and you know there is one more day left! Spring has a special smell here with all the blooming lemon trees, orange trees and jasmines that spread an addictive perfume in the cities and countryside. That sunny afternoon I was wearing an outfit with a gradation of cold colors that I felt were matching good together. I mixed a very soft sweater in an old grey color with a blue mom jean and some grey glitter shoes that really remind me the Cinderella shoes! Ok they are not made of crystal but they really make me feel like I am a princess 🙂 Finally this outfit just represents all the happiness that spring brings to me! And the best = Summer is still coming!  What is your favorite season? Bisous, Melissa ♡

Black and rock vibes

avril 4, 2017

The sun is here, bringing some summer colors and it feels the beach season is getting very close. We could not resist having a walk along the coast and smell the iodized wind and eat a fat Burger King watching the waves.  Today some rock vibes with an outfit having different shades of black. I think the accessories are key here and these very rock n roll studded boots are so cool to spice up this look. Also to contrast a bit this black outfit I like the idea to put a red scarf in the hair that matches with red lips and add a kind of pin up touch (although my workmate use to call me 2pac when I put this scarf in the hair;) ). Over-the-knee

over the knee boots outfit

How to wear over the knee heeled boots without looking like a prostitute? That is the question of the day I am trying to answer to with this new outfit. I could not resist to these sexy but comfy over the knee boots that were looking at me saying « buy me, buy me and I will spice up your winter looks! ». Okay girls come home! After wondering and testing how could I wear them without looking vulgar and see cars stopping in the street to ask for my price… I think these kind of boots can match very good with an oversized sweater dress that you can see on this shooting or on a black slim with an oversized sweater or shirt. I already wore today’s look at work without chocking anyone so I guess the mission is accomplished 🙂 Bisous, Melissa ♡

Black & White

leather legging

Lately something totally crazy and unbelievable happened in the place where I live: it has been raining a lot and we even had some snow! Ok you think that I am exaggerating I guess, but you have to know that when it rains in the Costa Blanca or in the Costa Calida, children are allowed not to go to school! Also with the rain, my team lunch outside and some dinners with friends got suddenly cancelled, the home delivery service of the restaurants are not operative and my yoga teacher congratulated and applauded me for coming to the class saying I deserve a medal! ahahah

With the rain, the arid landscape suddenly changed of color to turn into a phosphorescent Irish green! Yes I promise these pictures have no filter! I really like the contrast of the colors between this no-colored outfit and the unreal green landscape. I think black and white outfits are always cool and suit everybody. That day was not really cold to wear a coat so I just did the « onion trick » which consists in adding multiple layers of back and white tops to keep warm. I am also having on a sexy and black leather legging with new Nikes that I call my « mermaid shoes » because they have a little glitter touch at the back. This look is quite casual but you can rock at night if you change the Nike snickers for some black pumps… and remove one of the onion layer 🙂 Bisous, Melissa ♡

Flower power

juillet 28, 2016
boho wedding outfit

Holidays are always too short! Have you ever felt you needed some extra holidays to rest from your holidays that just ended (life is hard)? Well this is exactly what I felt after my crazy holidays in France where I attended to 2 birthdays and 2 weddings in just 10 days. I don’t know what is the wedding culture in your country but in France weddings can last 3 days! You can have a kind of warm-up party the day before with all the friends, then the wedding party accompanied with a river of champagne can start from 3 pm until the sunrise and because we just can’t get enough, the next day we often meet again for an alcoholic brunch! Ok don’t think I am complaining, I really think weddings are the coolest parties ever invented! I wore this boho wedding outfit for a beautiful ceremony that took place in the French Southern countryside that really reminded me some paintings of van Gogh. In many weddings it is usual that people wear all kind of crazy hats because it is an awesome opportunity to have fun wearing some accessories that you would never dare to wear in your day-to-day life. Personally I love wearing flower crowns to spice up a style when I feel lazy to put make-up, clean and style my hair or go to the hairdresser. The flower crown and lipstick are just enough! By the way all my apologies for the bad quality of these pictures, I forgot to charge my camera (shit happens) so we just took them with an iPhone 6. If you are looking for another wedding outfit idea check out this article. Bisous, Melissa ♡
